Timeless elegance. There is no better way of describing our Metaline partitioning system. It is a system that gives every interior a smooth, elegant appearance.
It remains, first and foremost, a pleasure to look at.
- WALL THICKNESS

- CONSTRUCTION

The system is erected by using special steel studs that fit into ceiling
and floor tracks. The panels and window frames are then fitted onto the studs by
means of a click-and-fix system.
- SKIRTING

Recessed steel floor- and ceilingtracks.
- WALL PANELS

Metal panels with a 12.5 mm acoustic rigidiser panel on the back.
The panels are clipped to the structure by means of a clip-strip and filled with rock
wool to a thickness of 40 mm.
- MODULE LINKING

By means of an O-ring joint or 5 mm joint between closed panels
and window and doorframes. These are clipped by means of a patented click-and-fix
system where the panels and door frames and linked frames meet.
- GLASS ELEMENTS

Steel window frames, double-glazed with 4 mm clear, hardened
glass on one side and 6 mm clear, hardened glass on the other. Alternative types of
glass in 4, 6 and 8 mm thicknesses are available.

Aluminium door frames in straight, round or elliptical versions.

Steel flush Maars doors, 40 mm thick can be supplied in standard wall-height
sizes. Also available in the same thickness as the partition.

An MDF framework with a steel top layer on each side, enclosing a
special filling.

Loose-joint hinges: 3 system-linked chromium-nickel plated
loose-joint hinges per door frame. Lock: Lips 2500/16/U20 series. A choice of door
handles/rosettes.

All visible wall components are powder coated using an environmentally
friendly process in a choice of colours from the Maars RAL selection. Available in silk,
finish or textured. Other colours by arrangement.
- SOUND RATING

In its closed version, this type of partition has a labora-tory
measured airborne sound insulation index of up to 47 dB.
- FIRE RESISTANCE

In its closed version, this type of partition has been fully tested for
fire-resistance and can withstand fire for a tested duration of at least 30 minutes.
Also available in a 60-minute fire-resistant version.

The nominal partition thickness is 100 mm.
- CONSTRUCTION

The partition is built using a steel construction of special clampingposts.
By means of adjustable stepless cross-connections, the clamping-post
construction allows almost any horizontal and/or vertical modulation to be achieved
in which panels and frames can then be fitted.
- TRACKS

The steel base and upper tracks are recessed.
- PARTITION PANELS

Chipboard panels, laminated or veneered, approx. 18 mm thick
are clipped to the underlying construction by means of a click strip. The cavity is filled
with mineral wool. Metal finished panels are also available.
- MODULE LINKING

A horizontal joint of ‘0’ or a 5 mm shadow joint between both
partitioning panels and window and door frames are possible. All module linkages are
logically executed in a clear click system.
- FRAMES

Aluminium Mono-block or Bi-block, double glazed and fitted with 4 mm
and 6 mm glass as standard. A glass thickness of 8 mm is possible. The door frames
are made of aluminium and are available in various versions.
- DOORS

A range of doors designed by Maars themselves in a wide variety of versions
are available, such as hardened glass doors, 40 mm thick steel doors, partitioningthickness
doors in steel and glass, aluminium frame doors and sliding doors. Various
doors are also available in fire-resistant and/or sound-resistant quality.

Partitioning systems
To combine ultimate transparency with flexibility. With this system Maars introduces the first full glass partition that combines maximum transparency with the flexibility of a real relocatable partition system.
A system that seamlessly connects to the existing range of Maars products.
- CONSTRUCTION

The partition is build using glazed panels in special surrounding
profiles. Both single and double glass solutions are possible. Doorframes can be
connected by using a clear click-system, creating a zero joint.
- TRACKS

Steel base and upper tracks are recessed floor and ceiling tracks.
- GLAZING
-
Toughened or laminated 10 or 12 mm glass. Vertical connection between
the glasses is executed with special glass tape or convex-concave glazing. No vertical
profile or silicon joints are required.
- CORNER ELEMENTS

Fully glazed corners without vertical profiles. A combination
with solid corners is possible.
- DOORS

The full range of Maars doors is available in the system, such as toughened
glass doors, 40 mm thick steel doors, XL glass and steel doors, aluminium framed
doors and sliding doors.
- DOOR FURNITURE

Loose-joint hinges: 3 system-linked loose-joint hinges per
doorframe in a chromium-nickel finish. Lock: Lips 2500/16/U20. Other types on
request.
- FINISH

All visible metal components are finished using a high quality, environmentally
friendly, powder-coating. Available in a choice of colours from the Maars
Selection, in silk gloss or textured. Other RAL colours on request.
- SOUND RATING

Maars Panorama has a laboratory-measured sound insulation value
of up to Rw = 43dB in accordance with ISO717-1.

Maars metal door XL is a metal door of the same thickness as the partitioning system. This provides a door which is fully flush on both sides of the partitioning and which also gives improved sound insulation. The door is suitable for use in all Maars partitioning systems, in combination with our improved square door frames. frames. A range of fixtures and fittings is also available.

This provides what architects and designers have been asking for years, a door which is fully flush with the partitioning system and is therefore very pleasing to the eye.

Maars Slidingdoors are a new and innovative addition to our standard range of doors. They are available with a high-tech stainless steel look which cleverly removes the need for cover plates. The sliding door is virtually flush with the wall and is available in glass, textured steel, aluminum and timber in single or double door versions. These doors are suitable for use with the Intersign, Metaline, String and String2 ranges of partitioning systems.

Now that suspended ceilings systems are becoming less popular and though this would seem to be a contradictory statement, partitioning systems have taken over part of their sound absorbing function. An effectively absorbing partitioning system loses part of its insulating effect, and vice versa. However, Maars has successfully produced a combination of these seemingly incompatible aspects, thus realizing the optimum result of absorption and insulation.
