TELENET

partitioning systems

Early 2007 the first contact was made with Pami, specialised in office furniture, regarding the project Telenet Mechelen. While the basic concept for this office interior was based on "open space" Telnet was looking fot concentration cells such as talking points, monastic cells and print corners. because these cels should keep their modularity, the idea grew to use our baseproduct MetaLine as a solution for aesthetics, stability and transparency. This was an unique opportunity to put our slogan “Design The Way You Think” in practice.

Because of a close collaboration with the design department of Maars and the experience of our own MJC team, the MetaLine system got converted to a self contained wall (height 240 cm), not reaching the ceiling. Because of this cells ware created that still matched certain values when it comes to sound-absorption ans sound transfer, without compromising its transparency.

This way we came to a concept of combining perforated metal panels provided with an absorbing acoustic membrane with the transparency of double glazed windows frames.

We've been able to finalise this project thanks to a healthy collaboration with the MJC team.
