Interior architecture T-Mobile

T-Mobile as one of the largest international mobile communications operators in the world, needed a headquarters that reflected its status and its global brand attributes of simplicity, reliability and inspiration. The result was the ambitious, futuristic T-Mobile City in Bonn, Germany, designed by architect Peter Schmitz to accommodate 5.000 staff. As befits a company that prides itself on mobility, the keynotes were freedom of movement, passion, self-determination and quality of life.

Built truly on a city principle, with streets, courtyards and a forum, T-Mobile City provides the perfect interface for informal communication between staff and clients. Its decentralised, often minimalist structure reflects the best of high-tech, environmentally friendly industrial design. In keeping with this innovative concept, Maars developed a stunning silver-metallic lacquered partitioning system with new sound-insulating glass and glass doors that are the same thickness as the partitioning walls. We also produced a new version of our glass sliding doors especially for T-Mobile City. After all, mobile communication is not only about easy interconnectivity but also about the private space of individuals.
